Adopt an Artwork

Adopting an artwork from KWAG's Permanent Collection is a unique way to support the Gallery, as well as care for and develop a strong connection with an individual work of art. As artwork ages, conservation action is sometimes needed to preserve and protect them. With constant care we can ensure that no work or art is lost to our community.

Adopting artwork doesn’t have to break the bank. More than one individual can adopt an artwork. In fact, it may take several adoptees to cover the cost of conservation. A monthly instalment of $20 is closer than we were before. Maybe your place of work adopts as a group? Know someone who has everything? I bet they don’t have a historical artwork adopted in their name. There are many creative ways you can be an important part of our Permanent Collection.

Interested? Contact Cera Frederiksen, KWAG’s Development Coordinator at cfrederiksen@kwag.on.ca or 519579-5860 x 221.

All adoptees will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Name displayed beside artwork when it is shown in the gallery
  • Website acknowledgment
  • Invitation to view the adopted artwork
