Artist Talk + Sounds and Movement of the Land

This event features an artist talk by Gardener-in-Residence Stephanie Florence, and an invitation to respond through creative action. Artists, musicians, poets, gardeners, dancers, and the community at large will be invited to join together in a creative response to Stephanie's recordings of the garden. Stephanie will produce an experimental sound artwork generated from recordings of the Land, Elements, Garden, Plants, and Soil that will be presented to attendees to a score with no set directions. Participants are welcome to listen or join in with their own creative communing to produce a blossoming and unexpected event. Stephanie will guide creatives to join in through an intuitive practice, or participants can choose to join as they like. For those feeling lost, Stephanie will provide a harmonic humming chant- reminiscent of a buzzing garden, if they would like to join in.
