This two-part workshop series breaks down the barriers young arts workers face in securing stable employment opportunities in creative industries. Emerging artists and young creatives aged 16-25 are invited to this workshop series covering everything you need to know including potential pathways, bolstering your resume, interview tips and tricks, and different opportunities available throughout the region!
The first part of this workshop series disseminates the possible career pathways for emerging arts workers. This presentation will cover the differences between various types of arts institutions, including volunteer and career pathways within them, the current sociopolitical contexts of working in the arts regionally, and what to expect from developing a career in arts and culture. This workshop has been developed collectively by KWAG staff, gathering a multitude of experiences and roles to provide participants with a breadth of perspectives on what it means to work in the arts.
Session 2 of this series will take place on 26 October, 2025.
