Co-presented by the Sudan Solidarity Collective.

Centred on four veteran Sudanese filmmakers, who once co-founded the Sudanese Film Group in 1989. Having been forced into exile by a military coup that dismantled Sudan’s film industry, they reunite with one clear goal: to revive a beloved outdoor cinema in Omdurman, despite years of censorship and bureaucratic roadblocks.

About Deeply Rooted:

A community initiative in solidarity with Palestine. A film series that centers the voices and lives of Palestinians, complemented by readings, panelists, and in-person discussion. Committed to offering an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, inclusive space, and invites you to come as you are. Attendees are asked to mask for these events.

Upcoming screenings:

16 October
20 November
18 December
