Feast for the Senses 11 | Thursday 27 February
Join us for a night of tapas-style food and drink pairings inspired by works of art in our current exhibitions! Guests at Feast for the Senses are treated to a Gallery tour with our curator and guest chef before enjoying a decadent tasting menu of innovative dishes with inspired drink pairing created in conversation with artworks selected by our chef.
Feast for the Senses 11 will feature Chef Kyle Rennie, Executive Chef at King Street Trio in Waterloo. At the age of 16, he worked at the Millcroft Inn under Chef Jason Parsons before moving to Toronto to work at Splendido, Susur, Auberge du Pommier, Colborne Lane and Centro. He later became Chef de Cuisine for the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and worked in Calgary with the Teatro Group and Vintage Restaurant Group as an Executive Sous Chef. Following a few years in New York and Chicago, Rennie has returned home to Waterloo where he now serves as Executive Chef at King Street Trio.
Our sommelier for the evening will be Rebecca Pettigrew, whose deep fascination with the world of wine lead her to start a business called The Winey Somm, which allows Rebecca to share her passion with others through wine tastings, consultation and a monthly wine club. A multi-certified wine professional with diplomas from both the International Sommelier Guild and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Rebecca also teaches at George Brown College. Her next goal is to tackle the world of cheese and become a professional fromager.
Online ticket sales for Feast for the Senses 11 will remain open until Wedesday 26 February at 4 pm, or until this event sells out.
Please note that Feast for the Senses is a 19+ event. Tickets to Feast for the Senses events are non-refundable.
