You’re invited to the KWAG Teachers’ Evening. Teachers deserve to be celebrated! We invite you for an exclusive and complementary evening sure to excite and inspire teachers and educators no matter what stage in their career.


Evening Itinerary

6:00 p.m. – 6:20 p.m. We will begin with a meet and mingle, including light snacks and refreshments. One complementary beverage ticket will be provided to all registered participants.

6:20 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Teachers will have the exciting opportunity to experience the exhibitions after the galleries are closed to the public. Participate in an informative guided tour of KWAG’s fresh Fall exhibition roster including a first look at A Broken Planet featuring photographer Edward Burtynsky’s remarkable depictions of human impact on the global industrial landscape and curated by Jennifer Bullock. We will also visit the highly anticipated installation of the SOS: A Story of Survival series, SOS: A Story of Survival, Part III – The Planet curated by Darryn Doull in addition to This dream pays for space in my heart curated by elipses collective (greta hamilton and Katherine Jemima Hamilton).

7:00 p.m. – 7:40 p.m. Teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a series of hands-on, experiential mini-art studio workshops with poetic inspiration taken from KWAG’s stellar lineup of Fall exhibitions

7:40 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. We will wrap up the evening with an opportunity to continue conversations in the Community Access Space. Teachers may choose to enjoy a beverage from the cash bar, ask questions, and make new connections.
