Guided by an experienced art instructor, young artists will explore one of the world’s oldest and most exciting art forms: printmaking! From linocut to Gelli-prints, explore the versatility of the medium through hands-on projects and playful experimentation. Participants will learn the foundations of printmaking while expressing their unique ideas in bold, colourful ways.
About the Artist:
Candice Leyland is a passionate and award-winning arts educator and watercolour artist based in Kitchener-Waterloo. With a background in Studio Art from the University of Guelph and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Candice brings both technical expertise and heartfelt enthusiasm to every class she teaches. Her vibrant and ethereal paintings- ranging from florals and landscapes to portraits and figure drawings- reflects her deep love for the creative process. Candice’s teaching is driven by the belief that art has the power to connect, inspire, and transform, and she brings that energy into every classroom she enters.
