Head to KWAG for an accessible gallery experience designed for neurodiverse visitors, including visitors on the autism spectrum, people with sensory processing needs, or those wanting a more sensory-friendly experience.

Saturday, 7 December
10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
FREE

During Sensory Saturdays, all expressions are welcome, and visitors can move, stim or make noise while exploring exhibitions with lower light and volume levels. KWAG’s Sensory Environment is open throughout the day, and features a range of stimuli including lights, liquid tile, texture resources and more to provide calm, focus and comfort.

Sensory Tours
Saturday, 7 December
3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Free | Registration required

Experience our exhibitions with more than your eyes! Our Sensory Tours will engage all of your senses and include detailed descriptions of artwork, including the techniques, textures, colors and compositions. Participants can also feel the materials used in the artwork through touch boards, experience art through scent and engage in slow-looking and slow drawing practices to get even closer to the exhibitions and support your own creative exploration.

If you prefer a quiet visit, there is a handout in front of the Sensory Environment with all the information you may need and quiet visit wristbands.
