The Art of Soil Collective: Learning to Love the Land Underfoot

Sunday, 12 October | 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
$20 / person + HST | Ages 18+

Together, participants will explore their connections to the land underfoot in an urban setting, reflecting on their biases, expectations, and assumptions. Participants will examine and compare soil samples from around KW, write love letters to the soil; to this shared land on handmade seed paper, and then compost their love letters in local soil.

This workshop will explore how to focus on, and care for our local soils and our shared urban land, with the sensitivity, attention, courtesy, and ultimately, the affection with which one cares for a loved one.
