This group exhibition looks to the road as a connective infrastructure which grounds so much of modern life. It is set in relation to contemporary car culture and commuter life along the corridor with the busiest stretch of highway in North America. The project isn’t just about cars, though. These are vehicles for a vast array of social, economic, and inter-cultural distillations of globalization. The invited artists explore aspects of self, hyper-specific communities, and the horizontality of animal, machine and human.

About the DJ
DJ Charlie Star is a sonic storyteller who fuses Black diasporic music with cosmic
rhythms, creating sets that are both intellectually rich and deeply groovy. Drawing
from her Afro-Caribbean heritage and research into global Black music, she crafts
soundscapes that celebrate resilience and resistance. With a background in Fine Arts
and a passion for remix culture, her interdisciplinary approach blends sound, collage, and performance. Whether spinning vinyl or digital tracks, Charlie infuses her sets with astrological insights, transcultural dialogues, and a commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices.
