Based on the recommendations of Region of Waterloo Public Health and out of an abundance of concern for the well-being of our community, the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery will be closed to the public until Monday 4 May, or until further notice. All scheduled programs and events will be suspended until further notice.
This decision, while very difficult for staff and our community alike, was made after much thoughtful consideration and our best efforts to balance public safety and community service. However, given the rapid acceleration of infection in our community and across the country, our responsibility to ensure effective social distancing at this time must take utmost priority.
As we all know, this is an uncertain and challenging situation. We encourage you to continue following the advice of public health officials and keep an eye on our website and social media channels, where we will share updated information about future exhibitions and programs as it becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding.
