Start of the pandemic, I was confused about everything. People were losing their loved ones and then my people were getting killed because of our skin colour. I was so scared to the point I stayed inside for three months straight wondering would I be the next black person to be killed by the cops? Will I get infected and then spread it to my old/baby relatives? However, over time I started seeing everything from a different perspective, I told myself I can't live my life being scared. So I went outside with my sister for the first time in June with masks on, the environment was peaceful. All I heard was birds chirping and the relaxing wind. Next thing I know we were laughing and only focusing on the good things. That's why I decided to create this eye art. All it took for me to have a good mindset was to just look everything in a different eye.
