"With the realistic painting, I thought it would be good to remove all extra issues from a painting that could make it complicated and strictly focus on being able to understand what an image is showing me and then recreate it with my control in how intense I wanted the saturation of my colors to be. So for the design of the realistic, there wasn’t much of a difference made.

"When it came to the abstract painting, I thought it would be a good idea to deconstruct the frog but still keep it at the same distance so a viewer could be able to recognize the differences. So when approaching the abstract I tried to keep a theme in mind so I wouldn’t lose my idea. That is why I choose a retro-futuristic image that would give me a chance to play with shapes and colors while having fun.

"Both images were kept at the same distance and were painted in the landscape because it was more aesthetically pleasing to frame the frog."
