"Whether it be watching his funny science experiments from the International Space Station on YouTube or seeing him on stage, Chris Hadfield will always hold the place of one of my most important idols. I grew up indulged in the world of space. I would watch stars on cloudless summer nights and even read about the discoveries made by the Hubble Space Telescope in the deep black abyss. Learning about space was and still is one of my favourite things to do. Now, revisiting my childhood wonders, I have created a portrait of the person with whom I share so many curiosities with to symbolize the bond between me and Commander Chris Hadfield."
