Spectre #1 is a record of a natural process where a mushroom releases its spores. It captures a brief moment in the life of that particular organism, both the beginning and the end of a life cycle.

Discussion: As we pass the one-year mark of the pandemic, discuss what has changed in your life over the last year. What has ended, but also what has begun as a result of this year long disruption to daily life?

Activity: As Spring approaches, consider what life cycles are beginning or ending during this season. Go on a hike or walk in your neighbourhood and capture some of these moments on camera. In a few weeks, go on the same walk and make some observations about what has changed.
